The NCC and University of Bristol hosts the first Images of Composite Research Competition

The NCC was delighted to host the first Images of Composite Research Competition jointly with our parent company, The University of Bristol. The competition, open to all NCC and University of Bristol staff and postgraduate students, aimed to showcase the fantastic work being undertaken across the university and the centre, and encouraged staff to submit exciting and engaging images relating to composites R&D. We received over 40 fantastic images.

You can check out all of the entries at imagesofresearch.com

The entries are currently being judged by our panel of academic and industry composites experts. The judges will award an overall winner and 2 runners up in the following categories:
•    Best Technical Image
•    Best Image from the University of Bristol
•    Best Image from the NCC
•    Best Image Demonstrating Collaboration

The winning entries will be announced at the 9th Advanced Composites Centre for Innovation and Science (ACCIS) & 1st NCC joint Annual Conference,  which will be held at the National Composites Centre on Tuesday 13th September 2016. All of the entries will be displayed at the event.

The NCC was delighted to participate in this competition for the first time, showcasing the innovative work we do, and the strong collaboration between the University and the NCC. We would like to thank all of those who entered the judges for their support, making this competition a great success! We look forward to showcasing all of the images and crowning the Images of Composite Research winners at the 9th ACCIS & 1st NCC Annual Conference next week!
