NCC hosting first Annual Conference - 13/09/2016

The NCC is delighted to announce that we will be hosting our first Annual Conference next week, held jointly with the 9th Annual Conference of the University of Bristol's,  Advanced Composites Centre for Innovation and Science (ACCIS). The event will be held at the NCC on Tuesday 13th September 2016. 

The morning will consist of ACCIS presentations including an overview of their recent work by Prof. Michael Wisnom, a key note presentation by Prof. Ignaas Verpoest (KU Leuven), and a series of presentations covering the latest developments in topics such as nanoporus materials, morphing aerostructures and wrinkle defect formation.

The afternoon will include presentations from the NCC Engineering and Research team. Dr Enrique Garcia will provide an overview of the centre and its current activities, followed by presentations on the NCC Core Research Programme and the four capability areas (Advanced Composites Manufacture, Design and Simulation, Digital Manufacturing, Automation and Tooling, and Materials and Processes).
