NCC launches new Introduction to Resin Infusion Course

The NCC has launched its latest course; Introduction to Resin Infusion.

This course has been developed to give a theoretical and practical introduction into the manufacture of composite components using resin infusion processes. The course will cover many aspects of the Infusion process including mould preparation, handling and cutting fabrics, vac bagging procedures and consumables used during manufacture. Good workshop practice and relevant health and safety issues will be embedded throughout the course.

Who should attend?
Operatives, technicians and engineers with a basic knowledge of composite materials, and processes that are new to the resin infusion process. We advise attending the 'Introduction to Composite Materials, Properties and Processes' course before attending.

Objectives & Aims
The main objective of the course is to give delegates a good understanding of how resin infusion processes are carried out in a realistic work environment. Candidates will produce 3 components during the 2 days which will cover aspects of modern resin infusion procedures. Delegates will have the knowledge and practical skills to prepare materials and tooling, lay down fibres onto tools, complete a vacuum bag and choose a suitable resin infusion lay out. Candidates will have the technical knowledge to carry out trimming and finishing of components using pneumatic and hand tools.
Course dates: Wednesday 17th - Thursday 18th August 2016
