NCC announces membership with Subsea UK

The NCC is delighted to announce membership with Subsea UK. The industry body acts on behalf of all those involved in subsea activities including oil and gas, renewable energy and defence stakeholders. It represents the entire supply chain bringing together operators, contractors, suppliers and research bodies across this diverse industry. The NCC joins over 315 members across academia and industry, championing UK subsea sector expertise across the world.

As members of Subsea UK, the NCC will be provided with unique networking opportunities at Subsea UK Events and exhibitions and promotional opportunities to spread the word about NCC news on their website, and in the Subsea UK magazine. We will also have access to exclusive resources such as Subsea-Intel, their subsea market intelligence database.

Graham Harrison, Head of Governmental Affairs and Strategic Partnerships at the NCC, will be presenting at the next Subsea South West Networking Event in Bristol on the 12th April 2016. This event will provide networking opportunities for South West based companies with an interest in the Subsea industry, to share information and knowledge.

The National Composites Centre (NCC) is working with oil and gas and renewable energy companies to exploit the benefits of composites materials. This has been greatly enhanced by the recent installation of a flexible composite pipe fatigue test rig with Tier 2 Member, Shell. The new capability is designed to meet the emerging needs of the oil and gas sector in deep water environments. The NCC is also working with some of the world’s leading wind and tidal energy companies and there are exceptional opportunities for greater use of composites as the O&G industry begins to extract hydrocarbons in water up to thirty times deeper than the North Sea and exploit wind and wave energy in extremely hostile envionments.

We look forward to the opportunities our membership will bring.
