High Volume Manufacturing

High Pressure Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM), compression moulding and injection overmoulding are just some of the highlights that demonstrate the range of capabilities of high volume manufacturing at the National Composites Centre (NCC).

With the capability to process thermoplastics up to 400°C in a range of processes and sizes of press, the NCC can undertake projects that demonstrate not only part performance and quality, but also production rate.  Our experts will take your company through the entire life cycle to ensure that the process is fit for your purpose and facilitate the development of new IP.

COVID-19 update - Easter shutdown and new working pattern

The NCC is taking a break for the Easter holidays and will be completely shutdown from Good Friday (10th April), returning on Monday 20th April.

From 20th April, all NCC staff will work a 4-day week, from Mondays to Thursdays. We will be completely shut on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We will also re-open our workshop to support customer work and the national ventilator and recovery efforts, following a message from the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to the UK manufacturing sector. We will have a phased return to the workshop for some of our manufacturing team, observing special measures for social distancing.

The majority of our staff will continue to work from home. You can get in touch with us through your usual contacts via email and phone, or please email

Thank you for your understanding and patience. We will continue to update our website and social media channels to keep you informed.
