The NCC Composite Integrity Verification Cell enables faster geometric measurement and non-destructive testing of larger components with much greater accuracy and repeatability.

The robot controlled system at the NCC combines multiple inspection methods in a single platform.

Comprising a range of ultrasonic (Pulse-Echo, Phased Array, Full Matrix) thermography and laser shearography all within a robotic cell, including automatic tool path and 3-D VR/AR visualisation.

Capable of verification for components / assemblies of single or mixed materials (metallic, carbon, glass) in a variety of configurations (bonded, monolithic, sandwich) up to 3m x 3m x 9m.

Can be used for airframe, engine parts and landing gears.  Wind turbines, oil and gas pipes and automotive chassis structures.

COVID-19 update - Easter shutdown and new working pattern

The NCC is taking a break for the Easter holidays and will be completely shutdown from Good Friday (10th April), returning on Monday 20th April.

From 20th April, all NCC staff will work a 4-day week, from Mondays to Thursdays. We will be completely shut on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We will have a phased return to the workshop for some of our manufacturing team, observing special measures for social distancing.

The majority of our staff will continue to work from home. You can get in touch with us through your usual contacts via email and phone, or please email

Thank you for your understanding and patience. We will continue to update our website and social media channels to keep you informed.
