Although over half of the UK’s electricity comes from renewable sources, we still rely on oil and gas for much of our heating, cooking, transport and manufacturing. There are 8,000 miles of pipeline under the North Sea, one of the most dangerous stretches of water in the world. Strong, durable composite pipes and valves help to reduce leaks. Being lighter than metal equivalents, they are easier to handle too – making maintenance safer and quicker.
