Jointly hosted by the University of Bristol and the NCC, ACM5 2022 provides a forum for the presentation and discussion on the latest development in automated composites manufacturing.

The DETI Inspire team at UWE Bristol’s School of Engineering will be hosting a live event to celebrate Women’s History Month – Empowering Women in Engineering. The keynote speaker is Chartered Civil Engineer and Bridgemaster at Clifton Suspension Bridge, Trish Johnson.

This event will give an overview of the defence sector and market, look at technology and innovation, and present opportunities and challenges to supplying the defence sector. Our Chief Engineer for Defence and Space, Sean Cooper, is presenting on the future of composites technology for UK defence, discussing the current and expected trends.

The National Composites Centre is facilitating a series of Technology Days as part of the Composites Technology Forum for UK Defence. The first event will focus on composites survivability.

The UK 5G Showcase is jointly delivered by UK5G and the UK Government Department of Culture, Media and Sport and features over 30 5G projects from across the UK, including 5G-Encode, hosted at the National Composites Centre.
