CBI Innovation Forum: Creating successful R&D programmes for business

Jo Dally, Chief Business Officer will be participating in a thought-provoking discussion sharing how the National Composites Centre contributes towards creating successful R&D programmes for business. The event takes place from 9:00 - 14:00, on Wednesday, 19 June at Renishaw PLC in New Mills, Wotton-under-Edge.

Hosted by CBI Technology and Innovation Transformation Director, the Innovation Forum aims to help businesses uncover the best approach R&D to grow and win competitive advantage. The event will cover the following topics:

  • Funding: What funding opportunities are available for businesses investing in innovation, and how to access tax reliefs in a complex and changing environment. 
  • Collaboration: How to maximise opportunities for collaboration with external partners, including academic researchers, to benefit from cutting-edge research, access to vital equipment, and expertise.
  • Success stories: Real-world examples of businesses’ innovation success stories; how they achieved commercial success, what challenges they faced and how they overcame these.
