Innovating at scale: Industrialising offshore wind with environmental responsibility
Jo Dally, Chief Business Officer will be the opening speaker at EPSRC Centres for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Offshore Wind Energy, taking place on 24 March at Durham University.
Discussing "Innovating for industry – anchoring sustainable wind manufacturing in the UK", Jo will be sharing insights into NCC’s role in sustainable wind energy innovation and industrialisation. This includes how the UK’s first Large Structures Innovation Centre aims to anchor next generation offshore wind manufacturing. The event is closed to invited guests and programme delegates only.
About the programme
The EPSRC CDT in Offshore Wind Energy Sustainability and Resilience builds on the research track record of previous CDT in Offshore Wind Energy and the Environment. Drawing on a powerful research partnership between the Universities of Durham, Hull, Loughborough and Sheffield, and over 40 industry partners, they welcome over 65 high quality doctoral researchers over the next five years. Their dual focus is to develop a diverse range of future leaders for the offshore wind industry; and create impactful solutions to technological, environmental and socio-economic challenges arising from the rapid acceleration of the offshore wind sector.
