Tier 1 member Vestas sets out plans for nacelle factory in Scotland
NCC welcomes Vestas' plans to establish a nacelle and hub manufacturing facility in Scotland.
This is a clear signal of conviction in the UK's offshore wind trajectory.
As a Tier 1 NCC member, Vestas is a valued strategic partner. Together with the Bristol Composites Institute, NCC forms one of three global technology partnerships collaborating with Vestas to advance next generation turbine technologies.
Vestas will also play a foundational role in NCC's recently announced Large Structures Innovation Centre. This capability will support the development of larger, more efficient wind turbine blades, advancing the technologies that will shape the future of the sector.
The Scotland facility doesn't stand alone. It reinforces a maturing ecosystem.
Advanced manufacturing capacity, deep supply chain development, and the R&D infrastructure needed to keep the UK competitive at the frontier of offshore wind engineering.
