15 March 2021

The National Composites Centre is delighted to have been awarded the prestigious Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Corporate Ethics award for ethical procurement practices.

The award is given to those who show exemplary commitment to cultivating ethical procurement standards in the supply chains, with the NCC’s Procurement team undergoing training and assessments to demonstrate their understanding of global ethical standards and the risks and opportunities to the business and the macroenvironment. This included a focus on three key areas:

  • Environmental procurement
  • Human rights
  • Fraud, bribery and corruption

The NCC is committed to practicing ethical standards throughout the business policies and procedures, exemplified by our NCC Procurement policy, NCC Procurement process and the NCC Anti Bribery policy.

Zoe Sotan, Head of Procurement at the NCC, said: “We’re honoured to have received this award from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. It is recognition not only of the Procurement team’s commitment to ethical procurement standards, but also how important it is to the business. It is a very prestigious award, and I’m incredibly proud of the team for all the work they have put in to achieve it and the continued efforts they put in every day to uphold principles of the CIPS Corporate Ethics award. ”
