Today at JEC World, the National Composites Centre (NCC), a world-leading centre for composites innovation, is launching NCC Connect, a unique business support service that will help open up the world of composites to even more companies.

Composites offer astonishing capabilities and solutions. Navigating this fast developing sector to find the right support, can be complex and time-consuming, especially for a business new to composites. NCC Connect provides a single access point for a wide range of support services starting in three key areas:

SME Support: Access to funding opportunities, strategic business advice and networking to meet new innovation partners, all help Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to scale. The NCC’s SME Support service connects companies with the wider Catapult innovation network to access all these services, helping them to fast-track their business growth.

Training: Training that helps a company’s workforce keep pace with technology is critical to building-in future competitiveness. The NCC Training team can help companies build a customised training plan with courses provided by the NCC and their network of training providers or help develop a bespoke training package.

Rapid Response: Companies looking to quickly solve a technical challenge or for support to submit a bid need an immediate response. The NCC’s Rapid Response service ensures companies are quickly connected with the right people across the NCC’s innovation community.

Launching NCC Connect, Richard Oldfield, CEO, National Composites Centre said: “It’s not enough to have the know-how and the great technology to drive innovation, you’ve also got to make the customer journey easier. NCC Connect brings even greater value to the organisations we partner with, helping to connect them with the right people and the right support from the NCC and across the wider Catapult innovation network.”
