Technology Pull-Through Programme 2020-21

07 August 2019

7 August 2019

The National Composites Centre (NCC) has today opened the NCC Technology Pull-Through programme to all UK universities for projects starting in April 2020, in collaboration with the EPSRC Future Composite Manufacturing Research Hub (FCMRH).

Now in its fourth year, the TPT programme is designed to promote research that will enable the transition of suitably mature technologies from academia to industry. It aims to de-risk, scale up and facilitate the industrialisation of proven technologies by transferring them from the lab environment into the NCC’s semi-industrial set-up for further testing.

The programme is open to all academics who have completed fundamental research into their chosen technology, and are now looking to prove its technology readiness. As well as sponsoring the collaborative projects between the applying university and the NCC, the NCC will be actively involved in the research activities, offering its research and development experience to help further the project. An NCC Champion and NCC Project Manager will also assist invited applicants to develop their full proposal for further review.

The Expression of Interest applications will be reviewed by the Knowledge Exchange Committee (formed by the members identified by the FCMRH management) and by the NCC TPT Committee (formed by NCC staff identified by the NCC Technology Board).
