Defining Future Skills

The Skills Value Chain methodology connects workforce development with the broader innovation ecosystem. It ensures that the skills needed to exploit the potential of emerging technologies are identified, developed and delivered effectively.

The Skills Value Chain typically involves three key stages:
  1. Convene: Identify future skills needs by analysing gaps in current provision and anticipating the demands of emerging technologies.
  1. Curate: Create modular training programmes, curricula and qualifications to address the identified skills gaps.

  1. Catalyse: Implement training through high-quality providers, train the trainers and ensure widespread access to these programmes.
