We've been listening. NCC and Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult invite you to join us for a focused industry workshop designed to advance the optimisation of wind turbine blade operation and maintenance.
As the number wind energy assets continues to grow—and existing turbines age—the need for effective asset management becomes increasingly critical. Optimising operation and maintenance strategies can lead to greater reliability, improved safety, longer blade lifespans, and more cost-effective, resilient, and sustainable green energy production.
Why Attend?
This workshop is an opportunity to connect with fellow technical professionals, share insights, and collaborate across the entire wind energy value chain. Together, we aim to:
- Develop a shared understanding of the challenges of through-life management of wind turbine blade including predictive maintenance/asset monitoring, inspection, and repair.
- Build a strong technical community to address the key industry challenges.
- Shape evidence-based industry guidance to drive good practice across the industry.
- Identify critical technology development needs to accelerate innovation.
Why come to NCC?
NCC is uniquely positioned to bring together asset owners, developers, blade designers/manufacturers, inspection and repair service providers and technology developers. With deep expertise in advanced materials and industry collaboration, we independently facilitate solutions that address wind industry challenges.
This workshop ensures all stakeholders can actively participate in discussions on turbine operation and maintenance, leading to a clear definition of requirements which will drive future innovation.
NCC has a strong track record in delivering impactful joint industry programmes including SusWIND and Joule.
Event format
The full day in-person event (9am-4.40pm) will feature:
- Expert speakers from across the wind energy sector.
- Interactive workshop sessions to explore challenges and identify collaboration opportunities.
