Composites UK: Renewables Sector Showcase

Thursday, 02 Mar 2023

CPI, Sedgefield

The UK composites supply chain has clear, economic opportunities in the renewables sector. By designing and manufacturing a new generation of materials and high-value components, rather than importing them, we can both reach UK Government net-zero targets and capture much more of the business value here in the UK.

Presenting at the event on 2nd March is the National Composites Centre’s Bridie Evans, Senior Technology Project Lead on ‘Positioning the UK as the Global Centre of Excellence for Composites use in Offshore Wind’; and Kyle Pender, Advanced Research Engineer on ‘Empowering the Transition to Low-Impact Solutions for Decommissioned Wind Blades in the UK’.
