DETI Skills - Leaders Award Family Fun Day

Saturday, 25 Jun 2022

UWE Bristol, School of Engineering

Free family fun day at UWE Bristol to celebrate the Leaders Award!

The Leaders Award campaign asks children the question 'If you were an engineer, what would you do?' prompting them to think of a problem they would like to solve, and then inspiring them with live interviews from engineers, to design their own solution.

All of the shortlisted and winning designs from children across the South West will be displayed at UWE Bristol this June, and on Saturday June 25th from 10am-3.30pm, the School of Engineering building will be opening its doors to members of the public, packed full with exciting activities for families to get involved with, including the amazing Explorer Dome presenting their new sustainability science show.

All the best local science-education activities in one place - to entertain the kids and wow the adults. UWE is bringing all this together to celebrate the amazing inventions children in the South West designed for the Leaders Award competition - with shortlisted entries on display alongside the robots, music technology, crafty activities, and free planetarium show?!
