Transforming Construction for a Sustainable Future

Neil Appleton, Market Development Lead for Construction & Infrastructure at the National Composites Centre will be attending 'Transforming Construction for a sustainable future' held at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), part of Construction Week.

Taking place, 4th - 6th October 2020, 8.30-10.00hrs each day, Neil will be showcasing the Seismic II Integrated Window Shroud and Cavity Closer developed for the project which improves thermal efficiency, reduced assembly time, and increases consistency while performing a structural duty.

The Seismic II project focuses on delivering higher performing and better-quality buildings that can be mass produced and delivered within shorter timescales using a platform-based approach for construction projects that used the latest in digital and manufacturing technologies.

The consortium comprises of consultancy blacc, offsite manufacturers Algeco, McAvoy, Tata Steel, the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), the National Composite Centre(NCC) and Specific (part of Swansea University).
