National Composite Centre apprentice Thomas Warr recently participated in the BBC Bitesize School Tour at Bristol Brunel Academy School in Bristol, contributing to an engaging event aimed at promoting opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Thomas, a Level 3 Composite Technician Apprentice, joined the interactive careers showcase orchestrated by BBC Children’s and Education. The tour, designed to inspire and inform young minds about potential career pathways and the essential skills required, features individuals like Thomas engaging with secondary school students.
Alongside local professionals, Thomas participated in sessions led by BBC presenters. These sessions served as a platform to share insights into his career journey, educational qualifications, and impart valuable advice to young people.
Reflecting on his participation, Thomas said:
"Being part of the BBC Bitesize School Tour was an incredible opportunity to inspire young minds and highlight the potential within the field of engineering. The apprenticeship program at the National Composite Centre has been an incredible learning experience and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my experiences with students."
